அப்பாவாக போகிறேன். ஒரு விதத்தில் அப்பாவாகி விட்டேன். பிப்ரவரி 23 என்று தேதி கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள் என் ராஜகுமாரி¹ இவ்வுலகில் காலடி வைப்பதற்கு.

23 வரை வலி வராவிட்டால் என்ன செய்வது, எத்தனை நாள் காத்திருப்பது என்று யாரோ கேட்டார்கள். நான் டாக்டர்² என்ன சொல்கிறாரோ அதை சேய்யலாம் என்றேன். என்னைப் பொருத்தவரை இது ஒரு கேள்வியாகவே இருக்கக் கூடாது. வலி வராவிட்டால் டாக்டரிடம் கேளுஙள். வலி வருவதற்கான வேலைகளை அவர் செய்வார்/செய்யச்சொல்வார்.

வேறு யாரோ சொன்னார்கள்… முடிந்தால் ஓரிரண்டு நாட்கள் பார்த்து நல்ல நட்சத்திரத்தில் டேலிவரி செய்யச் சொல்லலாம் என்று. நல்ல நாளில் குழந்தை பிறக்க வாய்ப்பிருக்கையில் விடுவானேன் என்று.

இதில் பல சிக்கல்கள். குழந்தை இப்பொழுதும் இருக்கிறது, இன்றைக்கு எட்டு மாதத்திற்கும் மேல் அத்ற்க்கு, அம்மா வயிற்றில். இந்த நல்ல நாள் நல்ல நட்சத்திரத்தில் பிறக்கவேண்டும் எண்பதேல்லாம் என்னை போருத்தவரை முரண்பாடுகள். அது உண்டான நாள் என்னவென்று யாருக்கும் தெரியாது, தெரிந்துகொள்ளவும் இயலாது. அம்மா குழந்தையாக இருக்கும்பொழுதே குழந்தை பிறபத்தர்க்கான செற்கள் எல்லாம் உண்டாகிவிடுகிரதாம். ஏங்கோ படித்தது3.

உங்கள் வழிக்கே வருகிறேன். பூமியில் காலடி வைக்கும் நாள் தான் எல்லவற்ரயும் நிர்ணயிக்கும் என்றே வைத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

இன்று பிறந்தால் நல்லவன், நாளைப் பிறந்தால் அறிவாளி என்று அற்ப மானுடருக்கு வேண்டுமானால் நட்ததிரங்கள் நிர்ணயிக்கலாம்.
என் ராஜகுமாரி நட்ச்சதிரண்களுக்கு நிர்ணயிப்பாள், இன்று நான் பிறந்ததால் நீ நல்ல நட்சத்திரம் என்று…

¹ராஜகுமாரி என்றால் நீ ராஜாவா எங்கிரீர்களா? நான் அற்பன். என் ராஜகுமாரி ராஜகுமாரியாகவில்லை. ராஜகுமாரியாகவே பிறக்கிறாள்.
²மருத்துவர் என்று அழகாகத் தமிழில் சொல்லலாம். ஆனால் சொன்னால் மருத்துவர் அய்யா^2.1 முன் வந்து தொலைக்கிறார்.

I am going to be a dad. Feb 23rd is the date they have given, for my princess¹ to set foot on this world. Someone asked, what would you do it she does not go into labour by 23rd. I don’t even know why this is a question. Ask the Doctor, I said. The doctor would do/ask to do what is needed.

Since there is an opportunity, they said, can we try to choose a good day, with a good star, for inducing the labour.

This has multiple problems. The baby is still there, has been there for more than 8 months, inside the mother. When it formed, no one knows and no one can know. The egg is created when the mother is a baby, I remember reading somewhere².

Even if we agree the day the baby sets foot on earth would determine everything, that is for the normal man.

A star/day may decide the fate of a normal man.
This is my princess. She decides the fate of the day/star. The fact that she is born on that day will make the day auspicious and the star good.
